Wisely's Story

I have been learning a lot of skills, both hard and soft skills. However, two things that made a big impact in my learning curve are: a. Cold calling skills; being able to get out of my comfort zone to reach out to companies as our target audience. I learned to prepare beforehand and to overcome my fear and anxiety, leading to slower speaking, which improves my communication skill. b. Managing people’s expectation; everyone has their own expectation. One can’t expect to live up to one’s boss, leader or supervisor’s hope with the same standard. At EuroDev, working under different PM’s has helped me to dig out what people want. This is definitely a significant skill to be developed further for my professional career. 

The first big challenge was being organised, as at EuroDev, the task rotation is quite big, hence one must be organised in order to fullfill all the required tasks superbly. 

The most fun part of my internship was doing cold calls, presenting market research, setting up meetings, and having those meetings with prospects/leads. I enjoyed lunch together with my colleagues. 

What I will remember 5 years from now is the experience of cold calling, doing market research presentation, seeing the development of a American company in Europe.
